Description: This is a hike the Club does every year or two, with some optional routes due to the network of trails available in the park. Our hike will be a moderate 9 mile hike with approximately 1,800 feet of cumulative elevation gain and an approximate a 5 hour duration including a lunch break. The hike begins at the Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park trailhead parking lot, which has portable toilets and a drinking fountain. Most of the hike is on open fire roads, with some of it on single-track trail and/or through wooded areas. On the January 28 pre-hike the entire route was very stable with no mud, which can change if there is significant rain shortly before hike day.

Bring: Lunch and water, and dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Wear sturdy boots and bring poles if you usually use them, and shoes and a bag to put your boots in for the trip home. ALSO, under Club policy, payment to drivers from riders is at the discretion of the driver, but $7.00 per rider is equitable under existing Club guidelines.

Driving Instructions to the trailhead:

Hikers meeting us at the trailhead should be there by 9:00.
